Organic psyllium husks are indigestible and are a source of soluble dietary fibre. They are used to relieve constipation, irritable bowel syndrome (IBS) and diarrhoea. Psyllium Husk is also used as a regular dietary supplement to improve and maintain regular GI transit. Other uses include gluten-free baking, where ground psyllium seed husks bind moisture and help make breads less crumbly.
Use psyllium husk to naturally supplement fibre in your diet. It can be sprinkled onto cereal or dairy-free yoghurt, or added to smoothies, bread dough, soup, gravy or sauce. Start with one tablespoon daily and gradually increase to three tablespoons daily as required. For use as a beverage, stir one tablespoon into 250ml of water and drink immediately.
Organic farming uses the best of traditional agriculture and responsiveness to the land to create biodiversity and environmental balance; a sustainable approach free from artificial intervention.
