Nuts are naturally full of wonderful minerals, vitamins, protein and Omega 3’s. Raw nuts also contain a natural chemical called phytic acid which is an enzyme inhibitor which makes accessing these nutrients and digesting the nuts very difficult.
In order to easily digest and absorb all of the natural goodness in nuts, they need to be activated or ‘germinated’. We do this by soaking the nuts in purified water with pink salt. This breaks down the phytic acid and causes the nut to begin to germinate and grow! Just like a seed planted in soil! So when you eat an activated nut you are eating a living food, easy to break down and full of nutritious goodness that your body can easily absorb!
We then slow dehydrate them at very low temperatures to make them a light, crisp, beautifully crunchy and a completely vegan snack.
