This organic puffed quinoa is grown and processed without the use of any artificial inputs – has no added preservatives and is non GMO. The quinoa – technically a seed, not a grain – has been simply puffed, without any added oil, salt or sugar. These puffs have a light, fresh texture; with a slightly nutty flavour and aroma. A delicious addition to breakfast cereals, puffed quinoa is also great in quick snacks and as an ingredient in home-made sweet treats.
How to Use
Organic Puffed Quinoa is a light and tasty addition to breakfast foods. Eat them on their own with dairy, grain or nut milk, or add them to your favourite cereal. Puffed quinoa is also delicious in home-made mueslis and granola. For a quick and convenient snack, sprinkle puffs over yoghurt and fresh berries.
Or combine them with dried fruit, nuts and seeds in a scrumptious hikers’ mix. To create yummy bars, simply melt 1/3 cup of coconut nectar or maple syrup with 3/4 cup of any nut butter or pureed medjool dates over low heat.
Add a little vanilla and 3 & 1/2 cups of quinoa puffs, mix well and press into a lined tray to set for 2 hours in the fridge. Great for lunchboxes. Quinoa Puffs are also a natural choice for energy balls, muesli bars and treats like chocolate crackles and raw vegan chocolate. A wonderful pantry staple.
